Beet Russian Borscht Soup


Beet Roots2-3 medium sized
Potatoes 2 large
Kidney Beans1 cup
Bay leaf2
Water10 cups
Chicken Broth6 cups
Ketchup5 tbsp
Lime Juice4 lemon juice
Freshly Grounded Pepper1/4 tbsp
Chopped Dill1 tbsp

Method of Preparation Of Russian Borscht Soup

  • Heat the oil in pan, sautee diced potatoes in it.
  • Peel the raw beetrots then dice them.
  • Now add carrot in pan and beet root too.
  • Add cabbage, bayleaf and sautee it for couple of minutes
  • Add water, chicken broth, and ketchup.
  • Season it and simmer.
  • Add lemon jice and chopped dill.
  • Let it cook for few minutes
  • Soup is ready to serve
